Get acquainted with creative people in the community at a series of Maker Meetups scheduled this summer in advance of the inaugural Fredonia Mini Maker Faire in the fall.
Makers are tech enthusiasts, designers, do-it-yourselfers, artists, crafters, homesteaders, tinkerers, educators, students, farmers, hobbyists, engineers, authors, scientists and beyond. If you think you are a Maker, you probably are and we want to meet you. Consider bringing a project or piece of work to show off and discuss.
The informative social hours will take place monthly May through August and are intended to engage a community of Makers in the greater Chautauqua County region. Makers will discuss their work, learn about the Maker Movement and help plan the Fredonia Mini Maker Faire slated Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the SUNY Fredonia campus.
